Synopsis: Beni, a 16-year-old schoolboy from Zurich, has fallen in love with Fögi, a rock musician, eight years his senior. It is Beni’s first love and he is ready to sacrifice himself to the extent of becoming the slave and dogsbody of his rather disturbed friend. He goes so far as to prostitute himself in order to finance their life together, and Fögi’s drug habit. Fögi begins to fall to pieces both mentally and physically when his band breaks up and his best friend Töbe commits suicide. It becomes increasingly difficult for Beni to continue devoting himself to the cult of his unique idol. He does remain true to the end however, and indeed decides to join his friend in death. Beni survives however to tell this story, which takes place at the beginning of the 70's.
